Four Consortium Members Appointed 1,411 Billion VND Contract for Biên Hòa - Vũng Tàu Expressway Project August 17, 2023

(BĐT) – The Dong Nai Provincial Project Management Board for Transport Construction has signed a contract with the consortium consisting of LIZEN Corporation, Hai Dang JSC, 368 Installation JSC, and Construction Corporation No. 1 to execute Package No. 21. This package involves the construction of the segment from Km6+200 to Km16+000 as part of Phase 1 of the Biên Hòa - Vũng Tàu Expressway Project.

The consortium was appointed the construction package for a contract value of 1.411 billion VND (the package value was initially 1.640 billion VND). The contract is to be executed over 915 days and follows an adjustable unit price model.

On August 16, 2023, a representative from Hai Dang JSC confirmed with reporters from the Đấu Thầu News that the Biên Hòa - Vũng Tàu Expressway is one of the projects eligible for contract bonus mechanisms under Decree 15/2023/ND-CP. The consortium is fully prepared with resources to begin construction, expected to start in late September 2023. However, challenges remain, particularly with incomplete land clearance and a shortage of fill materials like soil, sand, and stone. The contractor is urging local authorities to resolve these issues quickly to ensure the project to proceed as planned.

The Dong Nai Project Management Board noted that land clearance for the expressway in Dong Nai lags behind other areas, mainly due to unresolved compensation policies with affected residents.
