In the atmosphere of groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for projects on December 19th, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party, and with significant contributions to key national infrastructure projects, LIZEN Joint Stock Company (MCK:LCG) was honored to receive the Third-Class Labor Medal.

This is a prestigious award from the Party and State for the tireless efforts of the collective of cadres, engineers, and workers of the company in constructing the North-South Highway section from Van Phong to Nha Trang and being the contractor ahead of schedule by more than 7 months compared to the contract for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Highway.

The Prime Minister presented the Third-Class Labor Medal to Mr. Bui Duong Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors, representing LIZEN Joint Stock Company.

The spirit of "overcoming the sun and rain," creativity, and overcoming difficulties on each project.
At the Van Phong - Nha Trang HIghway, LIZEN Joint Stock Company was the leading unit in the consortium, responsible for implementing package XL01. The section constructed by LIZEN is nearly 35km long (from Km298+00 to Km332+700), spanning across complex terrain, including hilly areas interspersed with residential areas, and featuring a complex and intricate infrastructure system, making it the most challenging and complicated section.

In the section under its responsibility, LIZEN has constructed 4 bridges on the main route, 5 overpasses, 31 pedestrian underpasses, and 245 culverts of various types, with a total length of access roads and cross roads reaching 25km. The contract value for the construction is 2,759 billion VND, commenced on February 15, 2023, and is scheduled for completion by November 30, 2025.

However, thanks to the diligent, creative, and highly disciplined work ethic, the entire section under LIZEN's responsibility was completed, handed over, and inaugurated on April 19, 2025, and put into operation nearly 8 months ahead of schedule – an impressive achievement in the context of North-South expressway projects.

Throughout the construction process, LIZEN continuously faced numerous challenges. Along the tens of kilometers of the route, many locations were obstructed by high-voltage power lines, power poles, and power grid safety corridors, such as at the intersection with National Highway 26, Tan Lam Bridge, or areas bordering residential areas. To ensure the construction site was ready, LIZEN proactively coordinated with local authorities, mobilized residents, and even advanced funds for compensation and temporary land leases to open access roads, creating timely routes for transporting materials and machinery.

From the very beginning of the project, LIZEN Joint Stock Company identified material sources and construction technology as two key factors determining progress. Package XL01 involved a massive volume of earth fill, approximately 3.7 million m³, while initially, material quarries in the area were either unlicensed or had expired.

Faced with this difficulty, LIZEN proactively worked with the Khánh Hòa provincial government and neighboring localities, coordinating with Project Management Board 7 to complete the necessary documents and procedures for obtaining permits under the Government's special mechanism. Thanks to outstanding efforts, LIZEN became the first unit among all 12 component projects of the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) to be granted permits for earth quarries, opening up a stable supply of materials and significantly shortening the roadbed construction time. Furthermore, while the local sand source's license had not yet been renewed, the company sought out and signed contracts with sand mines in neighboring localities to ensure the quality of embankment and aggregate materials. For stone and aggregate, LIZEN proactively surveyed and selected standard suppliers, resolutely ensuring that the quality of the project would not be affected.

Responding to the Prime Minister's call for the "500-day emulation campaign to complete 3,000 km of expressways," LIZEN mobilized and maintained hundreds of pieces of equipment, peaking at over 350 modern machines and equipment, along with hundreds of staff, workers, and dozens of engineers working continuously in "3 shifts, 4 teams," without rest, even on holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).

In addition to increasing the number of equipment, LIZEN has also invested heavily in advanced construction technology, using graders, pavers, vibratory rollers, and modern mixing plant systems, ensuring uniform road surface quality, high compaction, and flatness standards.

The Van Phong - Nha Trang HIghway project is one of the key projects of the North-South Expressway (Eastern section) in the 2021-2025 period, playing a crucial role in connecting the Van Phong Economic Zone, Nha Trang, and the South Central provinces.

Not only did LIZEN shorten the construction time by 8 months compared to the contract for the Van Phong - Nha Trang section of the North-South Expressway, but it also completed the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau HIghway project more than 7 months ahead of schedule.

A spirit of service, harmonizing interests
Mr. Bui Duong Hung, Chairman of LIZEN Joint Stock Company, shared: "The Third-Class Labor Medal is a great honor and source of pride for the leadership, staff, engineers, and workers of LIZEN. This prestigious award is a recognition from the Party and the State of our tireless efforts over the past period, especially our participation in the '500 Days and Nights' emulation movement to achieve the goal of 3,000 km of expressways by 2025, and moving towards 5,000 km by 2030."

Mr. Hung stated

"The most crucial element is the persistent and tireless effort of the entire team. From the very beginning, when participating in key national projects, especially in the field of transportation infrastructure, LIZEN has clearly defined its 'service mindset'.

The entire section constructed by LIZEN was completed nearly 7 months ahead of schedule, with guaranteed technical quality and aesthetic appeal.

Every employee understands that we are not only building projects, but also creating value for themselves, their families, the company, and society. Therefore, LIZEN's products always meet the highest quality standards."

Regarding future plans, Mr. Bui Duong Hung stated: "For now, LIZEN will continue to focus its resources on key national infrastructure projects. Specifically, we are currently completing the final stages of the Chi Lang - Huu Nghi expressway project, aiming for completion and commissioning in June 2026. Simultaneously, LIZEN has also participated in the commencement of component 3 of the Quy Nhon - Pleiku expressway and will continue to collaborate on many other important projects in the future, with a serious work ethic and strict adherence to technical requirements and timelines."

"LIZEN has always positioned itself as a reputable contractor, trusted by the Government and society. Throughout our development, we have contributed to creating value for the economy while simultaneously providing stable employment and income for our workers.

As a publicly traded company, LIZEN's biggest challenge is balancing the interests of shareholders and the rights of our employees. This is not an easy task, but with our dedicated and responsible team of managers, engineers, and workers, we are fully confident that we will successfully fulfill this mission and continue to develop sustainably in the future," Mr. Bui Duong Hung further emphasized.
